Peterborough Nene Sidings 4 May 1996


Peterborough Nene Sidings on the 4th May 1996. The driver in the cab doorway is Don Watson, the guard (or trainman G) is Mark Warren and the man in the hard hat is the shunter who's first name was Keith and he came from Wainfleet. I can't remember his surname?

  1. You have posted some great pictures which are a nice record of those happy days when the railway was a more interesting place to work.

    I was there with Driver Johnny Morris on the shunt pilot engine helping prepare trains destined for the annual Spalding flower parade and the picture with me & Keith next to the Class 47 is just before or after I brake tested the train.

  2. Keith Johnson is the name you are looking for, he left the railway after a very long career and went onto working he buses in Peterborough.
